To develop the overall operational strategy of Malabar Group in Tamil Nadu region to drive the productivity, profitability and customer satisfaction of all stores across TN.
Primary Responsibilities :
? Analyze market research and competitor research reports in Tamil Nadu region to benchmark the business and its performance and opportunity.
? Evaluate and coordinate market research in Tamil Nadu for expansion of new stores.
? Plan marketing for target customers by understanding market and competitors in the respective store locations in discussion with the Regional Marketing team.
? Audit the operations of the customer service unit of retail outlets to ensure their services meet and exceed the expectation of customers.
Strategic sales plan
? To develop, implement, review and monitor the retail operating plan and budget.
? Review sales records and budgets to maximize profitability while reducing costs through well managed operational controls.
? Analyze daily sales reports to note bestsellers and which are not, in addition to discerning profit margins for each item.
? Design marketing and sales strategies and present them to Top Level Management including designing and setting up in-store sales displays.
? Plan, identify, communicate and delegate key responsibilities regarding sales reports, marketing campaigns, and day-to-day store operations to the store management team to ensure smooth flow of retail operations.
? To maintain, seek, utilize and analyze management information including EPOS (electronic point of sale) data to manage performance, seize opportunities and make informed management decisions, taking appropriate remedial action as required to reach and maintain retail budgeted sales and net income contributions and develop and drive the business.
? To ensure all shops are efficiently and effectively managed by visiting them and monitoring their compliance with policy, procedure and standards.
? To develop corporate policy driving display, merchandising, pricing and grading whilst observing retail trends.
? Implement and maintain retail operational policies and procedures to incorporate a sales plan, cost control, shrinkage management and reduction, audit compliance and people management.
? Oversee occupational health, turnover, and job satisfaction of MTMs in Tamil Nadu region.
? Spearhead operations by initiating, coordinating and enforcing retail operational policies and procedures.
? Develop plans, policies, processes and procedures to be implemented at regional and store level of Tamil Nadu region to ameliorate the total business operations.
? Achieve business targets of the retail stores in Tamil Nadu Region as per the business plan by consolidating all the necessary data, information’s and reports provided by regional team.
? Analyze the existing stores and initiate actions to improve business and profitability of the stores.
? Compare operational expenses and costs to identify losses and develop strategy for increased profits.
? Oversee operations in Marketing, Projects, HR departments of the regional offices through the respective functional managers and ensure that MTMs across TN meet the set objectives.
? Recommend Top Level Management on new system and processes to be implemented at regional and retail level.
? Plan the upcoming projects and existing project renovations by running meetings with the regional project coordinator and project team in MHQ.
? Ensure that Marketing activities are going as per decided plan by coordinating with Marketing Department in Region and Corporate for Branding, ATL, BTL, Digital, Creative, PR, Media, Visual Merchandising and other activities as and when required.
? Coordinate with HR department in Region and Corporate for Manpower Planning, Recruitment, Training & Development, etc.
? Consolidate (at the regional level) and review lead generation, sales targets, etc. with respect to the assigned area in a timely manner.
? Prepare reports and MIS for business review meetings.
